Appointment of Mr. Jeremy Eliab as VP for Administration

The Ateneo de Davao community warmly welcomes the appointment of Mr. Jeremy S. Eliab as the Vice President for Administration, effective from 01 April 2026 to 31 March 2029. 

The appointment follows the official approval by the Board of Trustees at its Regular Meeting on 14 February 2026, as formalized in Board Resolution Number 2026-008. This milestone is pursuant to the approved organizational restructuring enacted under Board Resolution Number 2026-007.

Mr. Eliab brings extensive experience in university leadership and administration to this role, having previously served as Executive Vice President. His steady stewardship, deep institutional knowledge, and unwavering commitment to strengthening systems and processes have contributed significantly to the university’s operational stability and strategic direction.

Scope and Responsibilities of the Office of the Vice President for Administration

The Office of the Vice President for Administration (OVPA) provides system-wide leadership and coordination of the university’s administrative, operational, compliance, facilities, information, and support services. It ensures that institutional systems, resources, and services effectively enable academic excellence, mission fulfillment, regulatory compliance, and institutional sustainability.

In executing this mandate, the Office provides strategic leadership over the university’s administrative and operational services while ensuring strict compliance with regulatory, safety, security, and institutional requirements. Furthermore, the OVPA coordinates comprehensive administrative planning, space utilization, and operational resource management, and oversees operational risk management, campus safety, and business continuity.

Through this mandate, the Vice President for Administration plays a critical role in strengthening institutional effectiveness and supporting the university’s mission across all campuses and units.
