Pursuant to Memorandum No. 2026-0041, and in fulfillment of Strategic Commitment 5 of Fortiores 2030 on the integration of teaching, research, and community engagement (TRC) toward greater impact, the Research, Innovation, and Community Engagement Council (RICE Council) brings together research centers and institutes, engagement and creative works offices, the museum, and representatives of the academic units.
The Research, Innovation and Community Engagement (RICE) Council is a coordinating and advisory body convened by the Vice President for Research, Innovation and Community Engagement. It brings together the directors of centers and institutes, heads of engagement units, and representatives of the academic units, both higher education and basic education, to support alignment across the University’s research, innovation, and community engagement work.
The Council serves as a forum for shared priorities, institutional coordination, and collaborative initiative, anchored to the RICE Ecosystem that the institutional strategy for operationalization of TRC across all levels and units.
