ADDU Welcomes 52 New CPAs in October 2026 CPALE
Ateneo de Davao University welcomed 52 new Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) after the release of the October 2026 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination (CPALE) results. The university’s passing rate of 44.83% was well above the national passing rate of 37.11%.
The figures come from the official results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). ADDU’s performance exceeded the national average by 7.72 percentage points. Based on the reported rate, about 116 ADDU examinees took the licensure examination.
The CPALE is widely regarded as one of the country’s most rigorous professional licensure examinations. Administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) through the Board of Accountancy, it assesses examinees on six areas: financial accounting and reporting, advanced financial accounting and reporting, management advisory services, auditing, taxation, and the regulatory framework for business transactions.
Examinees must earn a general average of at least 75%, with no grade below 65% in any subject.
The university thanked Dr. Margie J. Clavano, CPA, Dean of the School of Business and Governance (SBG), and Dr. Cleofe A. Arib, CPA, Chairperson of the Accountancy Department. It also thanked the faculty, staff, and students for their continued dedication to academic excellence.
The Accountancy program is housed under the SBG, which prepares students for careers in public practice, commerce and industry, government, and academe.
