AdDU Hosts Listening Session and Roundtable Discussion with OPAPRU Chief, Sec. Mel Senen Sarmiento
Ahead of the main sessions of the Civil Society Summit for the Bangsamoro Strengthening Constituencies for the Peace Process, on the 2nd of July 2026, a collaborative roundtable discussion and listening session was held in the CCFC Training Rooms on the 8th Floor. This meaningful dialogue brought together key stakeholders representing diverse Bangsamoro sectors, foreign dignitaries, and university leaders, and was led by Sec. Mel Senen Sarmiento, Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPAPRU) Chief, served as the main facilitator.
Joining Secretary Sarmiento as fellow facilitators were Fr. Karel San Juan, SJ, University President; Atty. Romeo Cabarde Jr., Assistant to the President on Advocacy and Legal Affairs; Ms. Teresita Quintos-Deles, Founder of the International Center of Innovation, Transformation and Excellence in Governance Inc. (INCITEGOV); and Mr. Gus Miclat, Executive Director of Initiatives for International Dialogue (IID).
This critical preliminary session set a collaborative tone for the rest of the day’s events, paving the way for the continuation of the Civil Society Summit and reinforcing the collective stakeholders’ unwavering commitment to inclusive, effective dialogue and peacebuilding.
