Ateneo de Davao University Welcomes French Embassy’s Cultural Attaché Mr. Martin Macalintal

On the 30th of July 2026, Ateneo de Davao University, through the Ateneo de Davao Internationalization for Mindanao (AIM), the International Studies Department, and the Political Science and History Department, welcomed Mr. Martin Macalintal, Cultural Attaché of the French Embassy in Manila, for an International Learning Session on Philippine-French Cultural Relations held at the Pakighinabi Room, Ricci Hall.

With Ms. Mary Donna Grace Cuenca serving as session facilitator, students hailing from the International Studies and Political Science programs gathered to explore the significance of cultural relations between nations, engaging in an interactive dialogue on how culture, arts, and entertainment contribute meaningfully to bilateral relations.

The event opened with welcoming remarks from Dr. Jerome A. Serrano, Assistant Dean for the Social Sciences Cluster, and was attended by key academic leaders, including Ms. Krizza Janica Mahinay, Chairperson of the Department of International Studies, and Ms. Rhodalie Emilio, Chairperson of the Political Science and History Department.
