Pathways for Institutional Advancement and Alumni Engagement

About Us

The Office of Pathways for Institutional Advancement and Alumni Engagement operates under the Office of the President, effective 01 April 2025. This new office integrates the functions of the former Alumni Affairs Office with the advancement initiatives of the Office of the President, serving as a centralized coordinating hub for alumni engagement and institutional advancement across the University’s Higher Education and Basic Education units. While Basic Education units continue to oversee their alumni affairs independently, shared platforms and collaboration are encouraged through this unified structure.

The physical office is housed in the current Alumni Hub, which is being revitalized as a welcoming and collaborative space for alumni, partners, and benefactors.

The Office operates through three mission-aligned, values-based Pathways that reflect a continuum of engagement with our graduates and institutional partners — from career transition, to lifelong formation, to meaningful collaboration.

Pathway for Career Placement

This pathway is designed to support fresh graduates as they transition into meaningful and mission-aligned work, this pathway provides mentoring, industry linkages, and professional development programs in strategic collaboration with the Career and Alumni Hub. It complements the career guidance services for students managed by the College Wellness and Testing Center.

A flagship initiative under this pathway is the BDO x AdDU partnership, formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement establishing a Scholarship and Career Development Pathway for students in Computer Studies and Business-related programs, creating a direct scholarship-to-employment track with industry exposure, mentorship, and internship placement. This pathway also carries forward the A1 Scholarship Program, expanding access and career development opportunities for AdDU scholars.

Pathway for Alumni Accompaniment

This pathway promotes ongoing formation, connection, and lifelong learning. Alumni are engaged through initiatives that nurture leadership, discernment, and service throughout different life stages, ensuring they remain active participants in the life and mission of the University.

Pathway for Gratitude and Giving

The pathway that encourages expressions of gratitude and support, not only from alumni, but also from benefactors, institutional partners, and friends of the University. Support may take the form of both monetary and non-monetary gifts, offered in the spirit of shared mission rather than transactional giving. These mutually flourishing collaborations help sustain scholarships, formation programs, academic initiatives, transformative learning spaces, and community development efforts.

Among the initiatives under this pathway is the establishment of Sacred Spaces, the University’s ongoing effort to build and revitalize places of faith and formation across its campuses, including chapels for the Junior High School community and the Leo Dominguez Amphitheater, upgraded through the generosity of the Dominguez family in honor of a distinguished JHS alumnus.

This pathway is also where individual acts of generosity find a home, such as Mrs. Rosalie Gentugaya-Belen’s pledge to support four Mindanawon scholars from Indigenous People communities, sustaining the University’s decades-long commitment to inclusive, culturally-grounded education.
