Ateneo de Davao University Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with the Commission on Filipinos Overseas
Ateneo de Davao University formally signs a Memorandum of Understanding with the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) on the 15th of July 2026 at the CFO Office in Pasay City.
This partnership opens meaningful avenues of collaboration centered on AdDU’s focused mission for Mindanao. Through the Ateneo de Davao Academy of Lifelong Learning (ADD-ALL), Filipino professionals and experts based abroad can serve as resource persons and teachers, bringing perspectives gained from life and work overseas. Through the Ateneo Migration Center, both institutions will engage in research, advocacy, and information dissemination on migration patterns and diaspora engagement in Region XI and Mindanao.
The partnership also opens doors for youth leadership initiatives and service learning opportunities for children and descendants of Filipino overseas, giving them a chance to visit Mindanao, experience its culture, and deepen their appreciation of community and heritage.
Signing on behalf of Ateneo de Davao University was Fr. Karel S. San Juan, SJ, University President. Signing on behalf of the Commission on Filipinos Overseas were Sec. Dante “Klink” Ang II, Chairperson; and Usec. Ma. Arlene S. Borja, Executive Director V.
Through this partnership, Ateneo de Davao University expands its horizon toward Filipinos overseas as partners in its institutional mission, deepening its service to fellow Filipinos beyond our shores and into the broader global community.
