Scholarship and

Financial Aid

An Ateneo Education, Within Reach.

For over four decades, the Ateneo College Scholarship Program has opened the doors of the Ateneo de Davao University to qualified and deserving students of modest financial means, through the generosity of benefactors who believe in what an Atenean can become.

Life as a Scholar

What Being a Scholar Means

An Ateneo scholarship is a partnership. Scholars maintain satisfactory academic standing, meet regularly with their guidance counselor, and join formation sessions, cell groups, and assemblies that build a genuine community of scholars.

Scholars also give back through service hours rendered to the Ateneo de Davao University, scaled to the grant received, in roles that never interfere with studies. It is formation in the most Ignatian sense: as men and women for others, scholars lead simple lifestyles, cultivate social awareness, and grow into examples of what an Atenean is.

Scholarship grants at the Ateneo rest on two pillars: proven financial need and academic ability. The College Scholarship Committee also weighs your commitment to service in your community and your clear potential for greater service in the future, because an Ateneo scholarship forms leaders, not just graduates.

One assurance worth stating plainly: applying for a scholarship does not influence your admission to the college in any way. Apply for aid freely; your application stands on its own.

Ateneans Helping Ateneans

Every scholarship at the Ateneo exists because someone gave. Graduating scholars are invited to continue the cycle by contributing to the scholarship fund, beginning six months after graduation, so that the door they have walked through stays open for the next student of promise.

Benefactors, alumni, and partners who wish to support a scholar can begin through the University’s giving programs.
