The University life carries real weight sometimes. The College Wellness and Testing Center is here for all of it, professionally, confidentially, and without judgment.
The College Wellness and Testing Center (CWTC) envisions a flourishing and resilient university community where healthy wellbeing is nurtured, dignity is honored, and individuals are empowered to live meaningfully.
Rooted in compassion guided by discernment and inspired by the Ignatian values—stronger persons in faith, service, and purpose—the CWTC serves as a vital space where healing, growth, and holistic formation converge and contribute to the creation of a society that enjoys sustainable peace and development thriving in a multicultural environment.
As a University formation office, the CWTC is committed to fostering holistic well-being through responsive, inclusive, and evidence-informed proactive guidance and wellness services. The center collaborates with the academic community and external partners to extend wellness initiatives to the peripheries and vulnerable sectors, guided by the Ignatian values and grounded in ethical and professional practices.
Individual counseling, group sessions, psychological testing, and wellness programs: the guidance office accompanies students through academic pressures, personal concerns, and the ordinary difficulties of growing up. Seeking support is a strength here, never a mark against you.
Sessions are handled by professional counselors with care and confidentiality. Walk-ins are welcome for urgent concerns, and appointments can be set for everything else.
Provides a safe and confidential space for individuals to explore personal, academic, emotional, relational, and mental health concerns with licensed professionals using evidence-based approaches.
Facilitates structured group sessions focused on life skills, values formation, interpersonal relationships, and psychosocial development, promoting peer learning and shared reflection.
Utilizes tools and techniques to gather comprehensive personal data (e.g., interests, strengths, needs) that support self-awareness, academic planning, and career decision-making.
Supports students in career exploration and planning through counseling, assessments, and career-related activities, helping them align their strengths and values with meaningful pathways.
Systematically assesses the effectiveness and impact of CWTC programs and services to ensure quality, relevance, and continuous improvement.
Provides training, capacity-building, and wellness initiatives for CWTC personnel and university staff to enhance competencies, promote ethical practice, and prevent burnout.
Offers expert guidance and collaboration with faculty, staff, parents, and administrators to address student concerns and enhance well-being within the academic environment.
Disseminates relevant, accurate, and timely information on mental health, personal growth, career planning, and academic success through bulletins, campaigns, seminars, and digital platforms.
Administers psychological, educational, and career assessments to support informed decisions on academic placement, mental health, and personal development.
Connects individuals to appropriate external professionals or agencies for specialized support, ensuring continuity of care beyond the Center’s scope.
Conducts and supports studies related to mental health, guidance, and wellness to inform practices and contribute to the body of knowledge in psychology and counseling.
