Exploratory Dialogue with the 10th Infantry (Agila) Division, Philippine Army

On the 19th of May 2026, Ateneo de Davao University welcomed representatives of the 10th Infantry (Agila) Division, Philippine Army, led by Lt. Col. Jaicris Jan Mendoza (INF) PA, G1, for an exploratory dialogue on possible areas of collaboration between the two institutions.

The meeting was joined by Vice President for Administration Mr. Jeremy Eliab, along with Ms. Donna Cuenca, Chair of the GAD Committee; Mr. Kenny Angon, OIC of Al Qalam Institute; Dr. Sam Aquino of the Psychology Department; Dr. Joyce Tupas of COPERS; and Ms. Tere Mirafuentes of COPERS and the Psychology Department.

Discussions centered on potential partnerships in mental health and psychosocial support, spiritual formation, gender and cultural sensitivity, lifelong learning, and community-based initiatives. These conversations speak directly to the global call for quality education, good health and well-being, gender equality, and peaceful, inclusive communities.

From this conversation, we hope to build partnerships rooted in human dignity, peace-building, resilience, and holistic formation. Work that goes beyond institutions and speaks directly to the lives of the communities we both serve.

The AdDU community is grateful for the openness and goodwill shown by our guests. Conversations like these build bridges through dialogue, shared concern for people, and a common desire to serve communities better.
