ADDU Ranks 2nd in Mindanao Among PH Employers in the Education Industry
Ateneo de Davao University placed second in Mindanao and seventh nationwide among employers in the Education industry in The Philippines’ Best Employers 2027, a list compiled by the Philippine Daily Inquirer and the research firm Statista. The University also ranked 108th in the overall listing of 300 awarded employers.
The list, published by the Inquirer, recognizes the top 300 employers in the country, grouped into 28 industries. Ateneo de Davao earned a score of 84 and was listed under the Education Industry, alongside universities from across the Philippines.
How the rankings were determined
According to the Inquirer, the study is now in its fifth edition and draws on an independent survey of employees working in the Philippines. The ranking covers both government agencies and private companies, including the local operations of multinational firms. Statista began by identifying more than 3,500 potentially eligible employers, then grouped them by industry. Organizations needed at least 250 employees in their Philippine operations to qualify.
Per Statista’s methodology, scores come from two sources. The larger share, 70%, reflects how likely employees are to recommend their own employer to friends and family. The remaining 30 percent comes from how respondents view other employers in their industry. The Inquirer noted that the list offers job seekers an added reference point and reminds employers of the value of listening to their people.
A reflection of the University community
The standing reflects the experience of its faculty and staff and the University’s commitment to their growth and well-being. The recognition is shared by the entire Ateneo de Davao community, whose dedication and service continue to shape the institution.
