Scholarship

The impact of your gift to Ateneo de Davao geos beyond the borders of our campus, into the local community, and out into the world. Every gift, no matter the size, contributes to a circle of support.

A Scholar’s Thoughts

“Studying here in AdDU made me want to lift up the name of the Lumad. I want people to realize that even though we are marginalized, we are not uneducated, we also have something to share with the world. I wouldn’t have realized my advocacy if it weren’t for my scholarship in Ateneo de Davao.”

Zacara Lastimado

Grant-in-Aid Scholar and an Umayamnon

Zacara’s story is only one of several that we hear from our scholars.

In Ateneo de Davao University, we do not only seek to give scholarships to those who come from the top of their classes. We also aim to provide equal opportunity to students from the margins who show potential but have limited means to achieve their dreams and the aspirations of their communities.

Scholarships in Ateneo de Davao University aims to open more avenues for success to all students from all walks of life.

With your help and generosity, we can provide more scholarships, together.

Support our priority for competitive scholarships by giving to the following scholarship funds:

Endowments

For Scholarships

Donations to the Scholarship Endowment Fund create a permanent scholarship fund, for these endowments are deposited or invested to ensure that the donated amount retains its value in perpetuity.

Scholarships are funded through the interest or investment income generated by the endowment. Through a gift to this fund, you will be able to provide a scholarship for many scholars in the years to come.

Endowments to this program give donors the privilege of naming their own scholarship fund.

Gifts to the Scholarship Endowment Fund are also tax-deductible.

For Living Allowances

Donations to the Living Allowances for Endowment create a permanent scholarship fund, for these endowments are deposited or invested to ensure that the donated amount retains its value in perpetuity. The living allowances for scholars are funded through the interest or investment income generated by the endowment. Living allowances include the meals allowances, lodging, transportation expenses, supplies, uniform, and books for the University’s neediest scholars.

Endowments to this program give donors the privilege of naming their own scholarship assistance fund.

For Professorial Chair

The Professorial Chair Program aims to provide teachers and researchers of specialized expertise with a special income in recognition of their significant contribution to the development of scholarship and research in the University. These Professorial Chairs are awarded to persons who have distinguished themselves in the discipline they represent. Donors may choose to fund the direct and annual costs of a professorial chair, or endow the Professorial Chair program.

Endowments to the Professorial Chair Program give donors the privilege of designating the name or title of these professorial chairs, and may assign them for specific academic areas.

Direct Giving

Scholarships

Donations to the Annual Scholarship Fund fund the direct costs of academic scholarships, dorm scholarships, and living allowances of University scholars.

Dorm Scholarships

Donations to the Dorm Scholarship Fund will provide Senior High School scholars from far-flung areas with allowances for accommodations, meals, and school supplies.

A1 Scholarships

Donation to the Peso-A-Day Scholarship Fund is a long-term commitment that requires a donor to set aside and donate at least one peso every day for the rest of one’s life.

For Peso-A-Day scholarships, any donation—no matter the amount—is accepted, just as long as it is made regularly.
