Frequently Asked Questions
Enrollment Procedure
Step 1
Go to the official AdDU website (www.addu.edu.ph) and click the enlistment link for UNDERGRADUATE APPLICANTS. DO NOT GO DIRECTLY TO THE ENLISTMENT LINK (enlist.addu.edu.ph). The enlistment link will be opened by April 5, 2021, which is also the start of first-year college enrolment for SY2021-22.
Step 2
Fill-out the required admission data in the enlistment link. Once completed, wait for an email regarding the confirmation of enlistment. This confirmation of enlistment provides information on the subjects enrolled, required downpayment, and online payment instructions.
Step 3
Once payment is done, go to enlist.addu.edu.ph and upload proof of payment. For AdDU-Senior High School graduates, there is no need to upload admission requirements (e.g. TOR and birth certificate, among others as indicated in the link) since their credentials are automatically transferred to AdDU College Registrar. For Non-AdDU Senior High School graduates, these documents will have to be uploaded online. If, however, these are not yet available at the time of the enlistment, they can be uploaded at a later date. Thus, enlistment can still be made even without these admission requirements. During the first semester of enrolment in AdDU College, however, non-AdDU SHS graduates will be required to SUBMIT PHYSICAL COPIES OF THEIR ADMISSION DOCUMENTS. At the moment, AdDU College is also suspending the College Entrance Exam due to the pandemic.
Step 4
Once uploading of proof of payment is successfully done, wait for an email regarding the confirmation of official enrolment. This email contains information about the newly created SIS account (Student Information System) of the enrolee, together with his/her account name and password. Once activated, the new student can now access the enrolled subjects and class schedules by visiting the link: sis.addu.edu.ph.
FAQ for Admissions
Who to coordinate about crediting of subjects?
For transferees, coordinate with the admissions office.
What is the difference between dropping and withdrawal?
“Dropping” refers to the removal of some subjects enrolled by a student, as opposed to “adding” which is the inclusion of those where the latter has not previously been enlisted for.
Withdrawal on the other hand is the deletion of all the student’s enlistment for the semester.
When and how can adding/dropping be made?
Given the prevailing health conditions, adding and dropping are done until the first week of the semester or the first two days during summer, online via sis.addu.edu.ph. No request for adding and dropping will be entertained thereafter.
If class has been filled up, may a student ask for a slot extension?
No. Class sizes are fixed for the efficient delivery of instruction and in compliance with existing school and CHED regulations.
What should a student do when his enrolled classes are dissolved?
Dissolved classes shall be appropriately marked as such on the SIS registration of the students. If a class is dissolved during the enrollment, or during the adding and dropping period, substitute courses may be added online. The assistance and endorsement of the Department Chairpersons are required for dissolutions after such periods.
When and how can withdrawal be made?
A student may officially withdraw his enrollment within six weeks from the start of the semester or within two weeks from the start of summer school. No request for withdrawal will be entertained thereafter. For now, this may be done by sending a request to admissions@addu.edu.ph (for the first years and, new students) and registrar@addu.edu.ph (for old students).
What are the financial implications of withdrawal?
The University may withhold or charge the following amounts for the withdrawal, varying on the period when the same is made.
Enrollment Period P250.00
1st Week of classes 10% of Total Assessment
2nd and 3rd Week of classes 25% of Total Assessment
4th and 5th Week of classes 50% of Total Assessment
6th Week of classes 75% of Total Assessment
7th Week of classes 100% of Total Assessment
As the withdrawal charge changes according to the period when it is settled or paid, this must be paid right away upon request for withdrawal to avoid the escalating charges.
Can a student enroll after the enrollment period or when classes have already started?
Late enrollment may be allowed until the first week of the semester or the first two days during summer, subject to the payment of surcharges.
Students who failed to confirm their enrollment via their payment of the fees before the deadline set (or the commencement of the Enrolment Confirmation and Reservation Cancellation Procedure) shall be treated as late enrollees when no payment has been made prior to the start of classes.
What is the AdDU Student Information System?
The AdDU Student Information System (SIS) is the online portal for official transactions with the University for Student Services. Students may enroll, check their academic statuses, accounts by accessing https://sis.addu.edu.ph/.
What is the student’s obligation in the use of the Student Information System?
Students are required to check their SIS during pre-registration, enrollment, and the first week of classes for possible issues with their enrollment. Any issue raised belatedly, as resulting from the student’s failure to notice the same in his SIS shall not be corrected thereafter.
