Ateneo de Davao University congratulates Fr. Antonio M. Basilio, SJ, PhD, on his appointment as Vice President for Research, Innovations, and Community Engagement (VP-RICE), effective the 1st of June 2026.
He currently serves as the Vice President for Higher Education, Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry, and as Rector of the Jesuit Community of the University.
Fr. Basilio brings to this role a strong research record in green chemistry, renewable energy, and the valorization of agricultural waste, with ISI-indexed publications, DOST-funded projects, and a registered utility model patent. He completed his doctorate at National Taiwan University under the Taiwan International Graduate Program in Nanoscience and Technology.
We look forward to the work ahead under his leadership as we continue to deepen our commitment to research, innovation, and meaningful engagement with our communities.
