Ateneo de Davao University firmly alerts the public to fraudulent schemes involving individuals falsely presenting themselves as representatives of the University.

It has come to our attention that certain individuals are misrepresenting their affiliation with the University in connection with procurement, events, and other official transactions. These unauthorized persons may solicit payments, fees, or downpayments under the pretense of facilitating permits, reservations, or services.

The University categorically states:

  • It does not authorize any unofficial individual or third party to collect payments on its behalf.
  • Any request for payment outside official processes and verified University channels is unauthorized and should be declined.
  • Official University transactions are never conducted through social media messaging platforms (e.g., Facebook Messenger).
  • Transactions conducted without proper verification and coordination with designated University offices are invalid and have no institutional effect.

The public is strongly urged to exercise extreme caution, independently verify all communications, and transact only with officially recognized University offices.

Any suspicious activity should be reported immediately through official University channels. Let us remain vigilant and work together in protecting our community from fraudulent schemes.
