Earlier, the Ateneo de Davao University had the honor of welcoming members of the Embassy of Canada to the Jacinto Campus, on February 9, 2026.
This courtesy visit discussed topics such as human rights, governance, and the socio-political developments in Davao and other nearby regions in a meeting between the guests and members of our administration.
Among the visitors were Ms. Christelle Chartrand, the Deputy Director for Southeast Asia, Global Affairs Canada, and Mr. Patrick O’Niel, the First Secretary of the Embassy of Canada.
Greeting our guests was Mr. Jeremy Eliab, the Executive Vice President of the university and with him here Atty. Romeo Cabarde, Jr., the Director of Ateneo Public Interest and Legal Advocacy, and Mr. Mark Paul Samante, the Chairperson of the University Community Engagement and Advocacy Council (UCEAC).
