Ateneo de Davao University had the honor of hosting the 13th Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities in Asia Pacific Service Learning Program (AJCU- AP SLP) with the theme: “Democracy under Siege: An AJCU-AP Service Learning Program on Democratic Resilience.” This two-week program lasted from August 4 to 18, with each unique program held at various locations within AdDU’s Jacinto Campus as well as other venues in Davao City.
Among the programs held within AdDU were a fireside chat with University President, Fr. Karel S. San Juan, SJ; Pakighinabi (Conversations) on Democratic Resilience with guest speakers, Ms. Luzminida Calolot-Ilagan, retired faculty member from AdDU, former Davao City Counselor, former Legislator for GWP, and former Undersecretary for DSWD, Mr. Karlos Manlupig from Balay Mindanaw, and Mr. Karlo Abadines, Executive Director of Simbahang Lingkod ng Bayan; a Conversation with AJCU- AP SLP Alumni; and a Cultural Show for their Culminating Activity.
