06 August 2024, Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU) Al Qalam Institute partnered with Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta (UMY), Indonesia, and signed a Memorandum of Agreement. Signing the documents are AdDU University President, Fr. Karel S. San Juan, SJ, and from UMY, Head of the International Relations Department, Dr. Sugito. The partnership involves a Global Internship Program as well as a Student Exchange Program with Ms. Alya Khasuna Umar becoming the first student intern to be part of this joint venture.
In attendance were Al Qalam Institute’s Executive Director, Datu Mussolini Sinsuat Lidasan and Deputy Executive Director Kenny Lloyd Angon, as well as Dr. Nur Azizah, MSi from UMY. The guests were also given an extensive tour of the campus by Al Qalam.
