The Ateneo Dance Crew of Ateneo de Davao University clinched the 1st place spot at the World of Dance Philippines 2024, which took place on March 10 at the UP Theater in Quezon City. The group’s remarkable performance earned them the top prize in the college division, establishing them as one of the premier dance crews in the country.
The team visited the university president, Fr. Karel San Juan, S.J., to celebrate their victory on April 29, 2024. The meeting was held in the 9th floor Living Room of the Ateneo de Davao University Community Center, where the dancers shared their experiences and triumphs with the university’s leadership.

The World of Dance Championship Series is a prestigious competition that brings together some of the best dance crews across the Philippines. The Ateneo Dance Crew’s victory marks a significant achievement for the university and its dance community. With their outstanding performance during the competition, the Ateneo Dance Crew also received special awards for Best Theme and Best Costume. They were also coached by Joseph Marie Moralde, Ralph Nobu Muramatsu, Andrei Amper, and Jose Antonio Boquiren.
In addition to the Ateneo Dance Crew’s 1st place win, the MSU-IIT Orions and the Adamson University Dance Company – Street took 2nd and 3rd place, respectively.
