Elvi Tamayo, a Davao-born visual artist and poet, has made significant contributions to the local art scene through his creative journey. With a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and a master’s in Theology from Ateneo de Davao University, Tamayo’s transition from philosophy teacher and formator to full-time artist has been nothing short of inspiring. His previous exhibitions, such as “Sparking Joy” (2022) and “In Sunlight and Nightshade” (2021), reflect his talent for capturing the subtleties of nature and the human spirit.
Visitors to “Nature’s Embrace” can expect to find themes of faith, love, and time woven into Tamayo’s work.
