On November 12, a virtual press conference on Balik Lantaw on Tampakan Mines was held by Ateneo Public Interest and Legal Advocacy (APILA), University Community Engagement and Advocacy Council (UCEAC), and Ecoteneo.
Balik Lantaw on Tampakan Mines press conference is the platform to voice out the opposition to the Tampakan Mining Project of Saguittarius Mines Inc. (SMI), whose key player is the Alcantara Group of Companies.
Ms. Carmela Santos, Director of Ecoteneo, shared the unity statement. Totaling to around 90 organizations and close to 400 individuals signed to this unity statement crafted as a result to the virtual forum last Aug. 30.
