Dr. Lourdes Simpol, Director of Tropics was invited by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as one of the resource persons to the “Workshop on Sustainability Science: Framework and Pilot Sides” held last November 23 to November 25, 2015 at Langkawi, Malaysia.
She was invited by the UN body to share with participants from Asia and the Pacific on the topic, “role of the higher education in the promotion of Sustainability Science in Mindanao”. This opportunity afforded Dr. Simpol avenue to share with others result of her research and personal advocacy as well as the milestones of the University in the promotion of Sustainability Science in Mindanao.
