Two affiliates of the Center of Psychological Extension and Research Services are due back this week after presenting their respective papers at international conferences.

Teofilo Limikid read his paper on “Houseparenting Experiences of Unmarried Women in MARIPHIL Children’s Village” at the 1st International Convention on Children and Family (ICCF) 2015 held at La Piazza Convention Center, Legazpi City on 15-17 October 2015.

Earlier in the week, Teresita Mirafuentes presented two papers at the 2nd International Conference on Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security held at Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor, West Java Indonesia on October 12-13, 2015. Her first paper was entitled “Capacity for Climate Change Adaptation: A Collective Behavior of Indigenous People in Agusan Marsh”. She also presented her research on “Golden Crop for the Local and International Market: Updates on the Cacao Industry in the Davao Region.”

Both Limikid and Mirafuentes are part-time faculty members of the Department of Psychology. COPERS, the outreach arm of the Department of Psychology, has a tradition of providing fund support for its staff and affiliates whose papers pass peer review for presentation in professional and academic conferences.
