Students from all clusters filled Martin hall for this year’s Musikahan last August 13, 2015.
Cheers were heard as bands played songs related to the event’s theme “Kwentong Forever”.
The bands expressed in song the various letters sent to them by students regarding their experiences about love such as “Forever second choice”, “Forever tanga”, and “May forever”.
“It makes us happy because we can express our talent”, said Jake Pilapil of Bubble Gum.
Teachers were also part of the audience as they enjoyed the event alongside their students.
“A great break for all of us”, Lunar Fayloga, Chairperson of the Theology department, said. According to Fayloga, the event gives students the opportunity to show another side of themselves aside from their academic capabilities.
Entrep students also saw the event as a business opportunity as they sold food and other essentials at the back of Martin hall. “As part of Musikahan, I’m really happy because my students are also earning.” Joeffrey Gomez, chairperson of the Entrepreneurship department, said.
One of the highlights of the event was the proposal of Jufil Pacatang to Camille Pasco. Cheers were heard throughout the hall as Pasco said yes to Pacatang’s proposal.
The last band, Thea and the Chieftains, played their originals to cap this year’s Musikahan.
