Anthropology (Ateneo de Davao Institute of Anthropology)

The Ateneo de Davao University Institute of Anthropology is a hub for anthropological scholarship that hopes to enrich public understanding of the diverse cultures of Mindanao.

It aims to produce knowledge and foster understanding about our diversity as a possible way of comprehending the nature of humanity and cultivating respect for difference.

An understanding and respect that will “witness to the reconciliation in solidarity of all the children of God” (GC 35, D.3, n.43), and hopefully contribute to the building of an inclusive, multicultural, and just society.
