in Government from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York teaches at the Center for Southeast Asian Studies, Kyoto University. He has authored several books on the Philippine State. Ateneo de Manila University Press is set to publish his latest book History and orthodoxy in the Muslim-Mindanao narrative.


Norania M. Acmad
is a faculty member of the Psychology Department of the Mindanao State University in Marawi City.


Dencio S. Acop, PhD
in Peace and Security Administration from the Bicol University, also earned masters degrees in Public Administration (University of the Philippines Diliman), Management (Philippine Christian University), and Management Studies (University of New South Wales, Australia). He graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1983.


Sheilfa B. Alojamiento
, AB English from Silliman University, heads Hags Incorporated, a research group based in Davao City that works with women and minority Moro tribes of Mindanao. She is a former instructor at the Ateneo de Davao University.


Robert N. Aplacador, MS
in Educational Measurement and Evaluation, is a Research Assistant under the Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension and Development of the Father Saturnino Urios University in Butuan City.


Alma E. Berowa, PhD
is a psychology professor at the Mindanao State University in Marawi City.


Mary Grace M. Brongcano, PhD
is currently the Director of the National Service Training Program and Community Extension Service Office of the Father Saturnino Urios University in Butuan City.


Magdalena C. Cabaraban, PhD
in Sociology from the Xavier University (Ateneo de Cagayan), chairs the Women's Forum in Northern Mindanao. She is a Senior Research Associate of the Research Institute for Mindanao Culture.


Alvin S. Concha, MA
in Social Research from the Ateneo de Davao University. He also has a medical degree from the Davao Medical School Foundation. He heads the Human Resources and Training Unit of the Davao Regional Hospital where he is also a research consultant.


Dolores S. Daguino, EdD
is the Vice President for Academic Affairs of the Notre Dame University in Cotabato City where she served as Executive Director of the University Research Center from 1996 to 2003.


Alma E. Eleazar
is the Vice President for Research, Extension and Development of the Father Saturnino Urios University in Butuan City.


Elson T. Elizaga
, AB major in Creative Writing from Silliman University, is the secretary of the Heritage Conservation Advocates in Cagayan de Oro City. He has had extensive research participation in various fields. He runs the Nazca Graphic Design & Photography (http://nazca.elizaga.net).


Ederlina M. Fernandez, PhD
in Educational Administration from the Western Mindanao State University (WMSU), is the director of the Women's Research and Resource Center and the coordinator of the Kasambohan Gender Resource Center in Zamboanga City.


Carlitos M. Gaspar, CSsR, PhD
in Philippine Studies from the University of the Philippines Diliman, is a Redemptorist missionary, anthropologist, development worker, writer, and peace advocate. He is the 2008 ADDU Alumnus of the Year.


Norma T. Gomez, EdD
in Educational Management from the Notre Dame University in Cotabato City, is currently the Executive Director of the University Research Center (URC) at the NDUC.


Samira Ali Gutoc, MA
in International Studies from the University of the Philippines Diliman, also holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Arellano University. She recently completed a fellowship at the Oxford University, England. Currently, she is the Editor of The Moro Times.


Jonathan Hastings, MS
in Defense Analysis from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, USA, is an officer in the United States Army serving the 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) at Fort Lewis, Seattle, Washington.


Lauro Tito C. Ilagan
, BS Fisheries from the University of the Philippines Visayas, is currently the Senior Aquaculture Specialist of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) – Growth with Equity in Mindanao (GEM) Program.


Ma. Teresa Sharon C. Linog, MD
graduated from the Dr. Jose P. Rizal School of Medicine at Xavier University in Cagayan de Oro City. She is an Affiliate Research Associate of the Research Institute for Mindanao Culture.


Daniel J. McNamara, SJ, PhD
in Astrogeophysics from the University of Colorado in Colorado, USA, is the Rector of the Jesuit Community in Davao City. He is also the Coordinator of the Physics Department at the Ateneo de Davao University.


Krishnamurti A. Mortela, MS
in Defense Analysis from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, USA, is the commandant of the Division Training Unit of the 10th Infantry Division, Philippine Army based in Calinan, Davao City.


Sulpecia Ponce, PhD
is the Coordinator of the School of Arts and Sciences Graduate Program at the Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) in Iligan City.


Rudy Buhay Rodil, MA
Kasaysayan from the University of the Philippines-Diliman, was a member of the government peace panel for talks with the MNLF (1993-1996) and the MILF (2004-2008).


Paz Verdades M. Santos, DA
in Language and Literature (English) from the De La Salle University (DLSU) taught at the Ateneo de Naga University. She now teaches Literature at the DLSU in Manila. Her research focus is on marginalized literature.


Hiromitsu Umehara, PhD
in Geography from the Hiroshima University, is a Professor emeritus of Rikkyo University. He lectures at the Graduate School of Hosei in Tokyo, Japan.


Anderson V. Villa, MA
in Social Research from the Ateneo de Davao University, also has a master's degree in Health Social Sciences from the De La Salle University. He is currently taking up further studies in Japan.
