Goals of the Research and Publication Office

• Serves as the center for the advancement of research culture in the Ateneo de Davao University.
• It supports and coordinates the research initiatives of the different divisions, including that of the administration.
• It offers technical training and professional assistance to match the needs of teachers   and students.
• It links the University research service to the demands of the wider community, such as people’s organizations and policymakers.
• It also animates the production and dissemination of academic journals, books, websites and other instructional materials.

RPO Mandate

“As a Filipino University, the Ateneo de Davao University seeks to be a locus of research and a center for  the propagation of Filipino culture;  it aims to contribute to the creation  of a peace-centered multicultural  society; it strives to assist in the  promotion of quality education in  the country, particularly   in Southern Philippines.”  

As a community of scholars, the University has assumed a threefold commitment to teaching, research and service within the present local, national and international context. It is the core members of the University – its faculty – who must accept the responsibility for the achievement of the University’s threefold goal.
