The Ateneo de Davao University holds that true education consists of the formation of the human person, physically, socially, intellectually, athletically, emotionally and spiritually in the pursuit of his ultimate end, and of the good of the societies of which, he is a member, and in whose obligation, as an adult, he will share. Filipino The Ateneo de Davao High School is Filipino in its ideal and aspirations. It believes not only in the molding of the student as a person and in seeking the actualization of individual potential, but also in the preparation of the student for active and involved citizenship in the community he/she lives in. The Ateneo recognizes that the student, even while pursuing his formal education, has duties and responsibilities and obligations to his community, to the country, and to the world. Thus, in the realization of this student as Filipino, the school is guided by a nationalism that believes in the community of man. Catholic The Ateneo de Davao High School as Catholic reflects the profound convictions and way of life of the people who make it up, the students, faculty, administrators and alumni whose vision of life and learning is inspired by the person of Christ. This vision springs from the belief that the Son of God has become man in Christ and has founded a Church to communicate and interpret His revelation in all times and to all people. The intellectual dimension of the Catholic commitment is articulated in the classroom, particularly in religion where man's life is examined with the methodology proper to an academic discipline. This religious commitment has worship dimension that is realized by the forms of liturgy made available on campus. The ethical and moral dimensions are to be realized in individual spiritual growth and in a communal concern for persons, especially through collective endeavours expressing love and service.
